Greetings! The past several weeks have been a whirlwind of activity for our family! We've enjoyed Tulip Time activities, seeing special friends, freshening up the bedrooms with new carpet, seeing family, celebrating Abby's bridal shower and many other things!
Lydia continues to grow and develop in such fun ways. She always seems to have a new trick up her sleeve. Lately she has been saying the word "kitty" ("keee-deee") since we've been paying lots of visits to the newborn kittens in the shop. Steps are a breeze for her, and I find her standing up almost anywhere she can get a good grip on a piece of furniture. Some of her favorite things to eat are asparagus and chicken quesadillas (which is easier now that she FINALLY has two teeth!).
On Monday I had an ultrasound, and our baby is very healthy and well-developed. An answer to prayer! We were also able to see that the baby is a little girl! We are so excited to meet this little one this fall. Please keep her in your prayers that she may be born a healthy, full-term baby in about 4 months! Other than a few hours in the church nursery, Lydia hasn't experienced much competition for the toys she wants to play with or for our attention. She is in for a big reality check because she will soon be finding out that our lives and the world does not revolve around her :)
